Story Submissions

We are now accepting story submissions for our next horror anthology! PLUS we are expanding into other genres as well via a larger publishing site! Therefore we are now accepting ALL story genres. Sci-Fi, Horror, Mystery, Thriller, Kids, etc. we want to read them ALL. You can also submit as many stories as you want. This does not have to be horror (but we of course love horror stories).

If you would like us to consider your story, send it to hello@nightmaresoup.com with the subject "Story Submission," the genre, and its title. So for example: Story Submission - Horror - The Dancing Corpse

**Important - Please Read**

- We generally like stories that are 1000 to 2000 words in length (we're not super strict on this, it's just a guideline). However, again, we are opening up submissions to pretty much ANYTHING, and ALL lengths.

Also, please check your story for spelling and grammar (very important).

- If selected, your name and story will be printed in the anthology and it will be distributed to thousands of people. It will also be accompanied by an incredible illustration from David Romero or another awesomely talented artist. You will be compensated with a payment of $25 and a free copy of the book. (If submitting a larger body of work this fee can be negotiated)

**IMPORTANT - You are NOT giving us exclusive rights to the story, meaning you can print and share your story with any other publication you wish in the future. Your story could have also appeared in other publications before this one (as long as that publication does not have exclusive rights).

By submitting your story, you hereby agree to the following:

1. You are granting us full permission to print, edit, publish, sell, and create derivative works of your story physically and/or digitally in perpetuity. This cannot be revoked.

2. You have full rights and permissions to allow us to print your story.

3. You understand and agree that our books are monetized, and 100% of all revenue from the sale of the anthology and any stories contained within it will go to the publisher (Nightmare Soup/BabblePress).

4. All decisions revolving around how a story is edited or what art accompanies the story will be determined by the publisher. However, we strive to keep the story as close as possible to the original un-edited version.

5. Please understand we cannot publish all stories that are submitted to us. If your story is selected, we will notify you via email.

We look forward to reading your submissions!

Happy Nightmares!
